It is Mission Week in Tyler, again, and even though the extent of me taking part in it this year has been eating lunch at St. Paul's UMC (see photo) and painting some trim in a room at the dental clinic we helped build six years ago, I am still amazed at the way people can show God's love to one another when they work together to help people who are less fortunate than they. IMHO, the BEST thing a person can do for his or her own mental and spiritual health is to find a place to serve, lovingly, and SERVE!

It is totally transforming. I have seen total jerks morph into the image of Christ through service (of course, I was looking in the mirror at the time).

Lunch at St. Paul's includes some singing, a devotional, site reports, and delicious food.
